Beta terms of use

Draft without professional legal review yet: do not publish as-is.

Last updated: October 30, 2026.

These terms govern the use of the beta version of Talo, the desktop app for project work with AI assistants. By downloading, installing or using Talo you accept them. If you do not agree, do not install it.

1. Who offers Talo

Talo is a product of Velchanos Partners LLP. Contact: contacto@velchanos.com.

2. Free during the beta

Talo is free during the beta period.

3. License to use

Talo is not sold: Velchanos Partners LLP grants you a personal, free, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to install and use Talo on your computers, for your own work, personal or professional. The license lasts as long as the beta program.

You may not sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute Talo or its installer; decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer it, or extract its internal instructions, except as the law expressly allows; remove its authorship or license notices; circumvent its technical measures; or use it for illegal activities or to harm others. Velchanos Partners LLP keeps all rights to Talo, its name and its software, except for the open-source components in section 4.

4. Open-source software

Talo includes third-party open-source software, among others components under the Apache 2.0, MIT or BSD licenses. Each component is governed by its own license, and nothing in these terms limits the rights those licenses give you. The full notices and licenses ship inside the app (NOTICE and THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md).

5. It is a beta

Talo is under development: it may have bugs, change, lose features or stop being available, and an update may affect your data. Keep a copy of what matters to you.

6. Your data, your accounts and what you ask for

Talo runs on your computer. What data it handles and when it leaves your computer is explained in the privacy policy.

The AI assistants you use inside Talo (Claude Code, Codex and the others) run with your own accounts, subscriptions or keys and under their providers' terms. What your computer sends them goes straight from your computer to them: Velchanos Partners LLP neither receives nor processes it on your behalf. Complying with those terms and their cost is up to you.

You decide what you ask Talo and its assistants to do, and you are responsible for it: for example, informing participants and obtaining their consent before recording a meeting, or reviewing an email before sending it.

7. No warranty

To the extent permitted by law, Talo is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, including of operation or fitness for a particular purpose.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Velchanos Partners LLP is not liable for indirect damages, loss of data, profits or opportunities arising from the use of the beta, and its total liability is limited to EUR 50. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law grants you as a consumer that cannot be excluded.

9. Ending

You can stop using Talo at any time by uninstalling it. Velchanos Partners LLP may end the beta or your access to it. Either way, your files (projects, documents, boards) live in normal folders on your computer and remain yours and accessible without Talo.

10. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we will publish the new version here with its date.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, without prejudice to the rights the law of your country of residence grants you as a consumer.
