Draft without professional legal review yet: do not publish as-is.
This page summarizes in plain language what data Talo handles, and it does not replace a privacy policy drafted and reviewed by a legal professional before publishing. This is a draft, pending legal review.
What is stored on your Mac
Projects, documents, diagrams, the whiteboard, task boards, the memory index and Meetings transcripts are stored locally, on your Mac.
What is sent to a third party, and to whom
A conversation with an agent sends the message and whatever context you choose to share to the AI provider you've connected (Anthropic for Claude Code, OpenAI for Codex, as applicable). If you tick the consent box on the "Report a problem" button, that report is sent through our own relay into a private issue repository. See full detail at security and privacy.
Retention
Meetings transcripts are kept for the period you choose in Settings (3, 6, 12 or 24 months, or for as long as the project exists); audio is never kept. The rest of a project's content is kept until you delete it.
Your rights
Pending: a legal professional must complete this section with the applicable rights (access, rectification, erasure, portability) and the contact channel to exercise them, before publishing this page.
